What is Ethoxylated Lanolin?
Lanolin that has been processed with ethylene oxide to make it more water-soluble and easier to blend into formulations.
Why is it used in products?
It works as both an emulsifier and emollient, helping oil and water mix while leaving skin feeling soft and conditioned.
Why does it clog pores?
Despite being more water-soluble than raw lanolin, ethoxylated lanolin still deposits a pore-blocking residue on skin. Its waxy nature traps oils and dead cells in follicles. Over time this buildup leads to comedones, especially in acne-prone skin.
