Grapeseed Oil

Also known as: Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil

What is Grapeseed Oil?

A light oil pressed from the seeds of grapes (Vitis vinifera), high in linoleic acid and vitamin E.

Why is it used in products?

It's popular as a lightweight, fast-absorbing oil that provides moisture without feeling greasy, often recommended for oily skin types.

Why does it clog pores?

While lighter than many oils, grapeseed oil can still clog pores in acne-prone individuals. Its emollient properties create a subtle film that can trap bacteria and dead cells inside follicles over time. Even "non-comedogenic" oils like grapeseed can cause issues with prolonged, heavy application.
