Sorbitan oleate's oleic acid component disrupts the lipid balance inside pores, making it inherently comedogenic. The emulsifier creates a sticky film on skin that traps sebum and bacteria in follicles. It's particularly problematic because it's often used alongside other comedogenic ingredients, compounding the pore-clogging effect.
