Why does it clog pores?

Stearyl heptanoate's long-chain stearyl group creates a persistent film over pore openings that resists normal skin cleansing. This film traps sebum and promotes comedone buildup. Its comedogenic potential is moderate to high, making it a concern in leave-on products for acne-prone skin.
